Scooby

Thank-You~ to everyone that sent us positive thoughts & prayers for our Sweet Scooby.
Sadly, he passed away today and we are heartbroken.
But we are so grateful to have been blessed with such a wonderful companion~ We love him & will miss him terribly~
Thank you again, your compassion was a comfort to us and we let Scooby know how much people (strangers even) wished him well~

Tomato Leaf Soy Candles

When a wholesale customer of mine asked me to make her Tomato Leaf candles I thought that was the strangest request...but now that I've made them, I can understand~
WoW! They really smell like you just brushed up against a fresh tomato plant. I can't keep my nose out of the jar~ Of course I've been going around the shop, shoving a jar under everyone else's nose saying "can you believe it?! It smells just like a tomato plant"

Now these candles are a MUST in my Gardener's Gift Basket :)

Purple Pansies and Parsley

We found this rusty bowl-thing when we were digging for the pumpkin patch and I thought it would be a neat planter~

Here's some Purple Pansies and a Parsley plant (say that 3 times) I had bought at the grocery store way back in March. I just stuck everything in this rusty bowl and now it's our outdoor table centerpiece

Peonies and Tinkerbells

I just went outside to set the table for supper when I noticed the Peonies in bloom~ There are Sooo many buds this year I figured I could snip a few and no one would notice :)

Here's the bouquet I just made. They go so nicely with the Tinkerbell Lilacs that are late bloomers~ The Smell is Heavenly!!!

In a few days I'll take this entire bouquet, rubber band it and hang it to dry. The Peonies are a great addition to my Cottage Garden Potpourri~

Scooby

Our Sweet, Sweet, Scooby has just been diagnosed with liver failure.
We are Heartbroken but still have Hope.
Besides using traditional medicine we're also incorporating natural remedies, herbs, organic food & Lots of LOVE~

Homestead

The Columbines are popping up all over my side garden and the Geraniums and Catmints are spilling over the steps~

Here's a better picture of the old side steps~ I love the moss growing on the rocks too!

And the Vegetable Garden so far~ It's amazing how it will transform within a few months....I'll post the progress~

I took a stroll down "Buttercup Path"
My hubby mows paths for us to walk in and this year our fields are Filled with Buttercups! The pictures don't do them justice! They smell absolutely Wonderful while you walk these paths too! Here's some pics I took today~

This is the path I took into the lower field. This is where we made our new Pumpkin Patch! I'm sooo excited to see all the Pumpkins (& watermelons, & cantelopes & squash)

Doesn't look like much now~ but just wait until October!!

Here's a picture of my favorite Apple tree. Half of it is missing and still it gives us tons of apples that we feed to the deer~

It's a Beautiful Thing :)

Spooky Photo Shoot

I took my camera with me this morning while Spooky and I explored the yard. She's feeling much better (thanks to organic food, herbs & love) and she had her sight on a nearby red squirrel.

Soon after the picture was taken, she ran as fast as she could back over to the house. Not very brave that Spooky :)

Printed Catalogs

CATALOGS are Finally Ready to Mail!! Between everything else, I've been working on a print catalog for my retail and wholesale customers and I'm finally finished~ Phew! Of course I've already come up with new products that need to be added to them~ but for me that's to be expected :)

~NEW PRODUCTS~
Cottage Garden Primitive Soap: Made with my Organic Flowers & Herbs plus Essential oils of Rose Geranium & Lavender. I've also attached a rusty Watering Can. Too cute!

Photobucket

Plus I've created "Primitive HOME" melting tarts and Country Cupboard Melting Tarts. My candles have been very popular in these scents so I thought I'd offer Tarts too~

Photobucket

These are All really Fun to Make!

I'm also participating in "Out of the Box Sampler" May Sample Box, if anyone is interested just check out their website www.outoftheboxsampler.com

The Crow's Nest also has an updated Logo! I've been busy working with Deb at Deb's Lost Treasures to create this logo and I'm very pleased!
My offerings have changed and "grown" over the past few years and I felt it was time to reflect that in my logo. Besides creating Prim, grubby, spicy items I enjoy working with beeswax, organic flowers & herbs too, and I feel it should reflect in my logo as well:)

Thanks for all the Positive Feedback!!
